London based, Australian bred moody pop songstress, PARKER, is ready to own 2018 with her new single “High”.
An ethereal alt-pop earworm produced by once again by long time collaborator Rupert Lyddon, its easy to sink your teeth into her breathy and broody vocals, haunting melodies and deeply personal lyrics that often get comparisons to Lorde and Lana Del Rey. Releasing her debut single “Thighs” in 2015, she quickly catapulted into critically acclaimed artist, locking down a deal with UK indie label Killing Moon and even landing her a synch on MTV’s show “Catfish”. Today, C-Heads brings you an exclusive listen of the infectious new single – available now for your ears below.

“I’m fascinated by people’s need for escapism (including my own) and I guess the song is about the juxtaposition of being young and having all these big dreams but then being scared, so I’d just run away from them instead.”
“I wrote ‘High’ a few years ago, when I’d first moved to London and recorded it with Rupert in his studio. The song came out of a general teen angst phase, I was going out a lot and having my ‘is this all there is’ moment. I’m fascinated by people’s need for escapism (including my own) and I guess the song is about the juxtaposition of being young and having all these big dreams but then being scared, so I’d just run away from them instead.”
