Fresh news from Berlin – the first details of Berlin Atonal‘s 2014 has just been revelaed. The event, focused mostly on experimental forms of music, founded in early 80s by Dimitri Hegemann (also the founder of Tresor club), has just announced the first waves of acts which includes Tim Hecker, Source Direct, Sendai, UF (Kerridge + Oake), DSCRD, Stever Reich and more.
After quite a long hiatus the Berlin Atonal has been brought back to life last year and found a new home in the abandoned power plant in Berlin Mitte – in the spectacular venue named Kraftwerk. The original philosophy – being a platform for presenting sonic experiments or experimental sides of artists has been kept. After impressive Atonal’s comeback in 2013 featuring almost 50 acts, also discussing pannels, installations or delightful street food (we told you about it here) we are more than sure we want to be there again. Stay tuned for more details.
