Colombian photographer Melissa Cartagena is currently working on her ongoing photographic project called “Docile”, where she will try to portray about one hundred of woman. Always in black and white.
The main part of it is the the usage of natural techniques. “The pictures are part of my Docile project – black and white catches where it is intended to portray about one hundred women. None of my photographs have any kind of editing that alters the image, they only have a frame. My intention is to communicate the image and transfer the beauty that I found in it and all has to do with the magic of an instant. Each one has a story, where the woman is shown as she is or as she wants to be. In this case, I’m just an instrument; the one who sees life in black and white to the rhythm of a song by Slowdive.”
