“Keep audience attention high.. along with the fair play”
“It was Saturday night – travelling to Athens, when I noticed a female team on board. Since that moment I knew I wanted to meet these girls again. When the boat arrived to Piraeus port early morning, stepping out I had the chance to ask one of the girls about their mission. It was the first time I decided to shoot a Volleyball game and I couldnt resist to this idea. Few hours later I was at the match, observing the girls hunting the ball and me also trying to catch some action with a telephoto lens. Dynamic, elegant & fit; after all those beautyful girls had a mission.”
You can feel so well the team spirit, strength and energy that such a sport event creates in the space and we almost feel like getting up and cheering to them while observing the images of photographer George Stratigis.

The bit about him deciding to shoot the game right there on the ferry really grabbed me, makes me want to travel more and just follow those random impulses. I’ve been looking for a way to capture that same feeling of a spontaneous adventure, and stealabrainrot had some nice quiet thoughts on that.

“Volleyballgirls” by George Stratigis sounds like a captivating work that celebrates movement, energy, and the spirit of sport. The dynamic nature of volleyball offers plenty of opportunities to capture powerful poses and expressive moments. It’s always fascinating to see how an artist transforms an active scene into a memorable visual story through composition, timing, and artistic perspective. Hyderabad Independent escorts

It was a great match, and the article offers a really detailed analysis.
I found the observation “along with the fair play” “It was Saturday night – travelling to Athens, when I noticed a female team on board.” especially useful. What usually causes this to work differently in practice? Disclosure: I work on

The few hours between spotting the team on the ferry and reaching the match make the project feel immediate. As a working photographer, I wonder how much of that energy came from the telephoto lens rather than the players’ movement.

The story of a chance encounter on the ferry leading to George’s first volleyball shoot is what caught my attention. I enjoy hearing how photography projects begin, especially when curiosity leads someone to try an unfamiliar subject. I’d be interested to hear what he found most challenging about photographing the match. On a separate entertainment note, adults curious about RocketPlay Australia can learn more here.
