If you wake up and don’t have a imprint of your sheets on your soft pink skin did you sleep hard enough?
Your dream was preceding the moment you rubbed your eyes as you first woke up and each moment is more magical than the next. When you wake up and are suddenly not afraid of falling in love but you are afraid of which lipstick will match your new skirt. You read for fun and you grow up too fast because there will never be enough gin and tonics to go around. Last night I slept with the same shirt I was wearing when I kissed you because if I don’t romanticize everything did it actually ever happen? There is no attractive way to eat pizza but if you flick your tongue a certain way when you are reaching for the string of cheese it might make me want to kiss you. We put the pure on a pedestal and love our reflection. But ultimately love the reflection of ourselves in another’s touch.
