Started in 2007 the Record Store Day UK, the annual event celebrates and remembers vinyl, the record stores and the pre-gentrified days of Soho. There are only a few record stores left in Soho now. Every April there is a street party, live acts and one-off limited edition vinyl for sale in the shops. The record shops have parties, a lot of shops have DJs in the window and generally a lot of debauchery is going down. Here are some impressions captured by Ben Clynshaw on film.

Celebrating something like Record Store Day is all about bringing people together and creating a vibe that everyone can enjoy. I’ve found that organizing events—whether it’s for music lovers or any kind of get-together—is so much easier when you’ve got the right tools to manage invites and keep track of who’s coming. That’s when I discovered evite, and it made planning so much smoother. It’s simple to use and helps you stay on top of the details without stressing. If you’re thinking about hosting your own celebration, having a solid invite system really makes a difference in pulling it all together!
