“I want my images to be honest and natural.” Colin Sussingham
Photographer Colin Sussingham, who amongst other things works for Richard Kern (whom we interviewed for our lastest summer issue), went to Pratt Institute and has lived in Brooklyn for about 8 years now. With his Canon 6d and Fuji x100 – unfortunately his Contax t2 that used to be his camera of choice got stolen – he wants “to capture images that are honest and natural”. And they range from intimate and beautiful raw portraits of girls – a project he started recently -, random moments of a young person´s life, a detail of a place that has kept his attention. Besides shooting photos he has been skateboarding for nearly half of his life, a subject that is also popular within his work. And the most important thing in life for him? “Have fun. Enjoy yourself. Enjoy your friends and family. Don’t take it too seriously.”
