“Every year, people from all around the globe come for the harvest to make money but also discover and have new experiences. From precarious conditions to unexpected meeting, I’ve filmed portraits of people of different origins”
This video almost made me cry. In a good way. Because to me it just shows life. This real life. A metaphor of where things start, where they go and through how many different hands they go. Of humans with their most natural expressions, back to the roots, doing something together but still feeling the strong presence of each individual. “Sweet Cherry”, is a video and a mix between fiction and reality about what happens in the fruit picking in British Columbia, Canada and it is directed by Kevin Millet and accompanied with the mellow sound of the Australian band Movement. “Every year, people from all around the globe come for the harvest to make money but also discover and have new experiences. From precarious conditions to unexpected meeting, I’ve filmed portraits of people of different origins. Thanks to everybody who accepted to be in front of the camera and people who contributed to this project. Thanks again to the pickers and farmers I met for the crazy experience.”
