Benjamin Askinas teamed up with stylist Katie Qian and model Diana of Photogenics for his newest C-Heads story which is a mix of moving gifs and still images.
“We took these images just walking around the streets of the Echo Park neighborhood in Los Angeles. The walls there are filled with colors and it’s easy to find an interesting corner to sneak into and shoot. In this one we stumbled upon an outdoor gym that was empty and took the liberty of going inside and stealing some images. ” The shoot was Benjamin´s first experience making gifs for a photoshoot. And excited about how they came out the plan to continue to use them as part of his stories in the future. Yes. Yes. Yes. Make-up by Paloma Alcantar and hair by Marley Gonzales.

Capturing stories and moods through photography is truly an art form. Textual stories cannot match the overwhelming impact of a beautiful visual story. While I have had good results ordering articles from academcore it cannot compare to the power of a well-crafted photo essay. Photography has the ability to convey emotions and tell stories in a way that words alone cannot. It’s a powerful medium that can transport us to another time and place, making it an invaluable tool for documenting the world around us.
