Tatoo artist Nadir Taghizadeh from Baku, Azerbaijan is an artist with ink and skin and looks like a peace of art himself. Inspired by his best work he tries to create even better work and finds some of his inspirations in moments that are not only bright. We talked to him about feeling proud, dating girls without tattoos and art as an imprint of oneself in the world. Rashad Nabiyev, a photographer likewise from Baku, delivered the rad images.
What was your first tattoo?
My first tattoo was an imago of a wolf on my back which however looked like anything else except a wolf.
How do you see your style?
I find portrait and minimalism important factors for my work.
And what are some of your inspirations?
When I am upset my next tattoo comes to into my mind.
How long does it take you to do one of those big pieces?
It depends on the tattoo. My biggest tattoo took 3 days and 3 hours per day.
What are your current favorite motifs or techniques to tattoo with?
I get motivation from my masterpieces. When I see them I feel proud and try to make even more beautiful ones.
Do you only date girls with tattoos?
I don´t date only tattooed girls and when I date girls without tattoos I would love to create a tattoo for her.
Art is…?
Art is a imprint of someone in the world. That someone can be a human or god. And it is one of the only things that really connects us. But for me it is also an expression of my soul depending on the real life surrounding us.
What do you expect from life?
To be the most prominent Azerbaijanian tattoo master in the world.
