“In Western culture nudity, sexuality and beauty have always been linked to the notion of truth and pursuit of knowledge. When referring to truth in it´s purest form don´t we say the naked truth? And isn´t beauty a door trough which we awaken the dead, for a moment, a moment of desire, desire of the other, where after introspection, the understanding of this pleasure fades away beyond our grasp.” We had an insight talk with American photographer and filmmaker Roy Stuart about his book “Glympstorys“ a while ago. Paris based Art Gallery Mayday Mayday Mayday celebrates their 1th birthday and this is done with a retrospective exhibition of Roy Stuart´s work from 1991 -2001. A look back to the 90´s, a decade without internet and different views. It starts on 28th November and ends on 24.12.2015. Adults only!
