A Munich morning tale
Photographer Lennart Bader wants to be like a spectator of his pictures therefore he is trying to put himself into the observational role depicting scenes when approaching the shooting. In his C-Heads debut his muse is Munich girl Darya who abducts us into a student´s room with glowing colours and natural light.
“I love traveling. I love being on the road. I love visiting new and familiar cities and places. And I love to take my camera with me. As a people photographer, I’m not driven to capture these spots I visit. What I adore the most is capturing people anywhere I go. I always try to find local models on my travels rather than taking a model with me. Looking for a model in Munich, where I was going to spend a weekend, I came across Darya. She had some experience in modeling and appeared to be a good fit for a home story that I wanted to shoot there. The next step was to look for a room with a private vibe. And I found the perfect place. For a beer crate of delicious ‘Augustiner Helles’, David, a young student from my hometown Cologne, let us seize his unique room in Haidhausen, a very nice part of Munich. His room virtually catches you instantly with its spirit. Sometimes all it takes is a beautiful model in a room.”
