Toronto based photographer Stefan Kolesnikowicz publishes his current shooting exclusive on C-Heads. It starts with a serene scene of model Rachel in the center of a vast space and ends with a detached mood.
“I like shooting with Stefan. He’s one of those photographers that makes you feel totally cool for being quirky and nude dancing around and pouting all poultry like.” prates Rachel and continues: “The way modern society has sexualized and perverted the female body is annoying. In ancient Greece and Rome the body was praised for it’s beauty and marbleized in statues. It’s rare to find someone in this day that can see the female form as pure art, instead of some pornographic sex object. Our shoots are artistic. I don’t feel objectified but rather that I’m becoming art through photography. The shoot’s not about how sexy can you be right now, but rather how can we make this photo tell a story and make the viewer wonder. Our photos are weird and mysterious in a way because of the settings of them. The views like wait… what’s even going on here? We don’t use a “set” and I think it’s pretty cool to just float around and find what works on a whim, no planning, no staging – just completely natural.”
