Day 1
Here I am, departing Sydney on the 2nd of Jane after shooting for back to back festivals I have arrived in Miami, Florida. There’s a 2,000 person line waiting around the sweaty Miami heat. I figured I’d try my luck and skipped straight to the front, thank god some friends were there so I could cut in, sucked in Shipfam. (I know, that’s so not lit)
We get on board around 2pm and make our way up to the artist bar, time for beers! I meet up with the Peking Duk Lads and start saying G’Day to old mates on board and meet a few new legends, 12th Planet decides to jump on Dillon Francis which was so krazy and loonie hehe.
We disembark and make our way for The Bahamas, Golden Features is one of the first acts on for the evening so we go and support his set, it’s wild with lots of Aussies in the room. From there we check out Ryan Hemsworth, Djemba Djemba, Dillon Francis, GTA, Tommy Trash, Justin Martin, Skream, Motez, Steve Aoki, AC Slater, Odesza, Jack Beats and finish the night by DJing with my mate Bennis in the artist lounge while Mr. Carmack plays piano besides us.

DAY 2:
The weather is bleak, real bleak, so bleak that they’ve cancelled the private island party @ Coco Bay in the Bahamas. What a bummer. To fly all this way and for this not to happen got us down. What can we do? Let’s just get drunk on the boat.
Dillon Francis & Flosstradamus go back to the main deck, they’re called Dillstradamus, they nail their set, thoroughly entertaining considering how hungover I am. I spend the rest of the afternoon mingling with the self proclaimed ‘Shipfam’ they’re a strange bunch but I adore their energy and how naive they are. I found a girl with a lifelike dog mask, that was interesting.
We are blessed with a decent sun set and head to check out Djemba Djemba play on the main deck, Hudson Mohawke is on soon after with Makkonen as a special guest.
We support the Slumberjack lads who play in one of the smaller rooms, Odesza then do a live set on the main deck, rad.
Alison Wonderland kills it in the theatre with Dillon Francis playing soon after. The Peking Duk lads play a very clubby set in the galaxy disco, we then head to the pool deck for Flosstradamus and then Destructo does his sunrise sermon which goes till 8AM, unfortunately there’s no sunrise! Just overcast clouds :*(
I am starting to feel the pain, my liver and nose hate me.
C’mon Day 3, let’s get this over and done with.
DAY 3:
Today was super hard, last night we were up toll 7AM for the sunrise sermon. It was cold and there was no spectacular sunrise, I am getting disappointed far too often but I’m looking on the bright side. Today is the last day ;)
Peking Duk kick off the Day at 2pm on the pool deck, they start with one die hard dude dancing to the place being being decently packed, AC Slater jumps on after and keeps the energy running.
There’s an artist signing on in the afternoon and we witness some oddness, one girl loved to get her booty signed, the lads didn’t mind, God bless America.
Alison Wonderland does her 2nd set on the main stage, stuff went wild! Flosstradamus are up next and as usual they bring a huge amount of vibe to their set which makes the crowds go crazy.
Motez is up in the galaxy disco then it’s down to the Pantheon Theatre where the Holy Ship all stars are doing their thing. They consist of Valentino Khan, Tommy Trash, Slumberjack, Snails, Alison Wonderland, 12th Planet, Golden Features, Peking Duk & Wax Motif amongst a bunch of others..really not sure how many Djs can go back to back.
We’re all on one so we case the party to the very last minute. Justin Martin & MK in the Galaxy Theatre and Hudson Mohawk the black & white lounge round out our Holy Ship experience, after 1 hour of sleep we’re heading back to Miami. RIP.
