Growing up in Sydney theres always been a strong skate culture, from the Bondi Bowl, to the Manly Bowl and everywhere in between.

Even the streets of Martin Place in the city. People have always loved carving up the concrete. Art and Music has also heavily influenced the culture in and round Sydney. They even built Monster skate park in the Olympic Village. Multiple International skate comps that come to our shore to make sure skating never dies.

I completely agree that Sydney has a vibrant skate culture. The Bondi Bowl has always been a favorite spot of mine. It’s amazing to see how the scene has evolved over the years and how many people it brings together.

Martin Place ledges hit different back then, and Bowl-A-Rama always felt like our comp, not some tourist circus. Been logging my sessions in Tap Tempo btw—anyone else still hit the Bondi bowl before the crowds show up?

Man, this hits home — grew up watching guys carve the Bondi bowl, and honestly the vibe was always half skating, half music. My cousin used to make beats for his own skate edits, swore the soundtrack mattered as much as the tricks lol. If anyone wants to try scoring their own clips, I stumbled on this MIDI Editor Online thing that runs right in the browser, pretty handy tbh. Anyway, do people still session Martin Place or is it all bowls now? Curious what spots you’d recommend.
