reveals Dominican beauty Kyra Tavernier of Premier models. And Photographer Ieva Urenceva continues. “I had this spontaneous shoot with Kyra and we shot in creative warehouses, the most unusual rooms and spaces we’ve ever seen, surrounded with old and dusty furniture lit by dim ethereal light. It was supposed to be a quick test shoot but turned out to be a whole day adventure, getting to know each other and exploring the creative spaces together.”

Shooting with Ieva Urenceva was so great, she’s young and fun meaning we got along so well. It’s so nice to shoot with someone who makes you feel so comfortable, and my phone was stolen right before the shoot meaning I was super late and stressed, but Ieva was so chilled and I forgot about it after like 10 mins of shooting. She had some amazing ideas and also our interesting conversations made shooting feel like a nothing but a nice catch up with a friend. Looking forward to shooting with her again sometime.
When do you feel the most beautiful?
I feel the most beautiful when I have been eating lots of healthy & natural foods, drinking lots of water, getting good amounts of sleep and wearing no make up. I believe in looking after yourself from the inside out as this will make you feel beautiful as well as look naturally beautiful.
Last time you had to overcome self-doubts?
The first time I had to overcome self doubts was doing my first catwalk show, I was so scared as I was determined I would definitely fall over in the high heels. But I did it and really enjoyed myself… Plus I didn’t embarrass myself haha ;-)
What fascinates you the most about modelling?
The thing that fascinates me most about modelling is that you actually don’t realise how much work actually goes into one campaign image on a billboard or shop window etc until you actually go through the process of queuing up for hours at castings, fittings, getting up in time for the super early call times, hair and make up, then shooting all day and so on. But I can’t complain, it’s all worth it. I love my job!
The things you love most about your home country?
The thing I love most about my home country England is that there is so much opportunity here to be successful.
The biggest adventure in your life so far?
My biggest adventure I’ve had so far was in Thailand. There’s was a beautiful but tiny island which we could see from the beach, we always wanted to go to but it was too far out to swim there. Then one day when the tide went out really far we managed to make our way there and adventure it for a few hours, there was no one but us on this island and it was sooo nice to watch the sunset there until it started to get really dark and we were stuck. I was so scared until we finally got rescued after so long by a Thai man on his boat lol.
