Off the back of a hugely successful first season, Raised by the Wolves brings season two of her latest offering, “Summer Without a Pool”. The photos distributed via Instagram play out like a television series and aim to capture the essence of the 90s through quasi narrative. This series embodies the heartache, rebellion and coming of age of two beautiful young women as they experience the mundanity of life. Follow her instagram to watch the magic unfold daily.
the writing: inspired by my current situation. not the plot directly but the state of mind.
the characters: Maddy’s character is scattered but in control, innocent but corrupted, lost but does not fear, her vulnerability draws people in. Lily’s character is cheeky, mysterious, confident, present, ethereal.
the shoot: I frequently had the models engaging with each other through stories. “Tell us about your first time”, “Tell us an experience that hurt” etc. All the expressions are real.
the location: the house was OLD definitely before the 60s. had a few visitors lurking but a somewhat peaceful vibe
