the deep end
somewhere along the way,
we got lost in the deep end.
it was empty, but we had nowhere to go.
vacant. not a single soul.
rooms filled with mostly memories.
a bunch of broken dreams and worn out things.
somehow, we found ourselves here.
8 1/2 feet under, but we were still breathing.
we made our own memories.
I won’t forget you in the deep end.
The sun is burning down from the skye today and Elle makes it even hotter. The C-Heads debut of the mega talented Los Angeles based photographer Chuck Lang awakened our enthusiasm for his work, that focuses on “empowering natural beauty through genuine images.”
“I’ve always been inspired by beauty in the breakdown. I’m in love with empty spaces that don’t look like they’ve seen life in a while. No punk graffiti or vandalism, just quietly left behind. I like telling stories that have a sense of innocence and vulnerability, while showing strength. A small reminder that nothing is meant to be perfect, and to love the little things. Remember to have hope in what we are.
Through a series of clues, I found this empty pool and tweaker motel out in the desert. When we pulled in, there were a few cars abandoned in the parking lot. A few moments later, and we had a flat tire. It was super eerie. Of course, it was hot as hell. We got the spare on, and continued on our adventure.
The light was gold while we were down in the deep end. We played around while the light faded into dusk, and the photos started showing some grain. That’s usually when I put my camera down. It was a good day. I’m stoked that we found this place, and the way the story turned out.”

They’re a bit much to contain using just your hands.
