“how-to-be-alone is a series of “tutorial” photos/videos, which in fact reveal narratives, instead. The series flirts with the line between things sad and erotic. It’s a personal project that I’m enjoying building, even though I don’t know exactly what it is yet I’m building.”
Please give a warm welcome to American filmmaker, photographer and writer Donari Braxton. The talented artist connected with Hannah to shoot this sensual story in her apartment in Los Angeles. “As with most shoots under the “how-to-be-alone” umbrella, we casually improvised the shots while complaining about our lives. She has a bamboo garden in her backyard for some reason. I shot on both digital cameras and 35mm film, Fuji 800, Canon F-1.”
