Colombian photographer Melissa Cartagena´s “Dócil Project” assumes further form, with its aim to portray about hundred women in order to ultimately make a collage and shape the face of a woman.
“My work is a tribute to the women´s sensuality, sexuality but as an subject of enjoyment for herself and not to satisfy a culture or to fit into a given circle. The woman as an inspiration where she exposes her sensuality for her own enjoyment to live freely and without taboos. The power of women as being creator and source of life is my main inspiration. The body at its best and strongest of freedom in a country that still does not accept this kind of artistic expressions. My intention is to communicate with this image and to transfer all the beauty that I found in it. Everything has to do with the magic of the moment.” To see the first chapter we were showing here on C-Heads, please go here.
