Part 1 of a 3 part series on Asian fashion & alternative street culture, exclusively for C-Heads, encompasses a couple of highlights from a month in Thailand by Duran who is working on various photography jobs from look books to personal projects. Shot entirely on 35mm film, the project showcases some of the alternative subcultures, and locations Bangkok has to offer.
A city that is known for its seedy ways and neon lit back alleys, filled with all the dangerous people your parents told you never to talk to. From the red-light districts of “Soi-Cowboy” to the heavily guarded Airplane Graveyard, where you have to bribe crack-heads to let you in, “Soi Stories” is a unique collection of photos showcasing locations and cultures you never really get to see in the typical fashion & street photos of Thailand. Captured by Duran, who is a travel photographer and cinematographer based in Cape Town, South ‐ Africa, currently traveling and working between Africa & Asia.
