British model Rosie Amanda Viva is back from New York Fashion week with a roll of film full of laughter, friends and constant blue skies.
“I’m hoping to go back to New York in October, so it was so nice to spend two weeks here to begin with and getting a feel of the city. Fashion week here is ridiculous, there are thousands of girls here from all over the world and coming into town for castings. I loved having the familiarity of British friends there at the same time as me and going through the experience together. I stayed in Brooklyn – so perfect – and ‘Beacon’s Closet’ was SUCH a find. It’s crazy how different NYC feels to London, in every single sense. Although in NYC the scale of everything shocked me, it’s crazy how you can get anywhere in 20 minutes, when in London 50 minutes between castings is probably the average time. I used a Retro film in my Contax T2 for these piccies – giving them a Toy camera feel which I love. Constant blue skies in NYC makes me excited to go back and take more.”
