The Sisters of Silver Creek is a photo diary composed of imagery that is shot strictly in Kodak Porta 35mm analog film. The photo story centers on lives of five blonde teenager sisters capturing that uncomfortable stage of coming of age emotional turmoil and being stuck in the in-between of childhood and adulthood. These adolescent years are always so portrayed by the adult world repeatedly telling you “These years are the single most important factor in the rest of your life, and what you will have to do for the rest of your life.” States Gerald This array of imagery tries to embody that awkwardness, and that intimacy they have not only as individuals but also as sisters. The Sisters of Silver Creek is the third installment in my series addressing sisterhood. The other two installments are entitled “The Anderson Sisters” and “The Beaumont Sisters”. The collective of imagery is driven by the writings of Peter Weir’s Picnic at Hanging Rock and Jeffrey Eugenides Virgin Suicides.
