Mix Anderson .Paak with some electronic sounds and ‘Cool Company‘ is the resulting outcome.

The Brooklyn, New York based Hip Hop/R&B/Neo Soul duo comprised of vocalist Yannick Hughes (aka Cool Yan) and producer Matt Fishman (aka Fat Matt) who originally met in their high school choir class back in ’06, and rekindled their musical relationship in 2012. With influences that range from Stevie Wonder to Outkast, they are known for their energetic, infectious grooves and Cool Yan’s versatile and expressive voice – the result is their newest EP, “Slice of Paradise”

Themes of the EP: Life, Love, Heartbreak, Sex, partying and having a good time. You know, the classics…

Life moves fast, especially the people walking by. One second they’re there, and the next they’re gone. Each person that passes is like a track on the EP; some vibe out and have a hop in their step, while others are slow with a smooth passing like a bass guitar. Then, there are those who are forever dreaming without a reality in sight. This album is for the dreamers, thinkers, dancers, and all those in between.
