“Streets are the background that inspires me the most and skateboarding is one of the street arts that has always fascinated me.” tells Jeppy Mortellaro about his 35 mm series. “In skateboarding, the will of challenging oneself, the consequent feeling of freedom and eventually accomplishment which you get, become the reasons behind skating itself. It´s a metaphor of life to me: falling off the board and standing back up again are the same as psychologically ‘falling’ and ‘standing back up’ again in life. In both cases, your inner strength and willingness to succeed will make the difference. The more determined and passionate you will be, the further you will go on the skate of life.”
