“It’s a long time since I picked up my camera. I wanted to change my way of thinking. My way of doing photography.”
Only too well we are familiar with that thought. These voices telling you that you need a creative break. Somehow trying to look for something else. Maybe just the muse who gentle kisses you again. Italian photographer Marco Michieletto is known for his sensual erotic work, most home series playing with lights and shadows and always with the focus on the power of female. This time he wanted to test more into the portrait direction. “I took a beautiful apartment in the heart of Milan mostly used by poets and writers to be able to reflect and think in a relaxed and timeless setting. Since I like to call this place “timeless”, I thought that also the model had to be. After a long search I contacted Giada, who I have noticed recently in Marieclaire. I immediately thought that she was the one I was looking for. I had no doubts, and fortunately for me, she accepted my invite. The day of the shooting was great, because after eating a croissant and drinking a cappuccino, we went home and I found out that I was completely right. Her smile and spontaneity had been exactly what I was looking for.”
