Roxana Neacsu is a 21 year young photographer based in Bucharest, Romania. Studying journalism in her final year she is addicted to photography, to people’s faces & bodies, to natural and obscured lights.
In her C-Heads debut she teamed up with muse Elena and dipped her into magic red light. “I was looking for more than a month to shoot with Elena. I had the main idea with that pink-redish & soft light, but neither one of us had time to meet and ”conquer the world” since we were both trapped with other things. Until that evening when my phone rang and Elena told me she was on her way to my appartement, ready to do some magic.” she tells about the series. “So, yeah, in more than 2 or 3 hours we accomplished ”the mission”, playing around with my clothes, ordering pizza and getting into the mood. Ever since I took the photos I was looking at them and 3 things come to my mind everytime: The red light district from Amsterdam, the Drake & Rihanna’s video- Hotline bling and the Nicolas Winding Refn’s movie- The Neon Demon starring the gorgeous Elle Fanning. So, taking into account these 3 scenarios, every photography lover is free to choose in which one would they like my story to live in.”
“Art is relative and very interpretative.”
