ZAE, a West London based artist, combines ethereal vocals with a unique blend of electronic sounds, producing magnetic tracks with smooth pop/r&b melodies.
Influenced by the sounds of SG Lewis, Mura Masa and Kaytranada, her third single ‘Faking Love’ is a chillout r&b track dealing with the topic of self-discovery and self-acceptance. ‘Faking Love’ is about coming to terms with who you are and learning to embrace your true self. “I wanted the song to highlight the importance of breaking through traditional, right wing ‘society norms’ in order get to a place where you feel comfortable in your own skin. To be able to love fully and openly without fear.”
