Photoshootings are always something really exciting. Like a little holiday trip. The unifying energy of the team. You spend time together. Creating something artistic and creative. Czech photographer Lubomir Buchta, model Vindy and make-up artist Nikol Tureckova spontaneously set up this amazing shooting at a castle.
model Vindy: “I have something to do in Brno and decide to call Luboš asking him whether he would be up and in the mood for a shooting. I love photo shootings, it´s about changing and like a game in front of the objective, it is like a theatre for one spectator. Luboš agrees and I call Nikol who can do the perfect make-up. Nikol says she is at her friend and does not have make-up stuff with her and that I should come over and we would think something out. Great, we’ll be shooting, I cannot wait.”
MUA Nicol: “I am at my friend, we are talking and thinking about what to do on the weekend. Vindy is calling and she is saying that she will be in Brno in the afternoon and she is asking whether I had time to do some make-up. And that she had already spoken to Luboš who will take pictures of her. Vindy is great and she does not need make-up, so that gives me the possibility to try out different techniques and ideas. I don´t have any make-up stuff with me of course, but my friend does and I am excited to do this!”
photographer Lubomir: “A day like any other, nice weather, a pile of work and worries. Vindy is calling saying she has some work in Brno, but she has time in the afternoon and that we can shoot something together and her friend can do the make-up. I agree and a couple of hours later Vindy calls me again to tell me she is all set up and ready to shoot. I pick her up and while driving we think about the photo shooting. I make a phone call to a castle asking whether we would be able to pursue our idea over there, the lady agrees and about an hour later and 100 km further we start to take pictures. Shooting with Viny modelling and Niki as make-up artist is always unbelievable, both have this energy, the desire to do something great and they do it to the fullest. Vindy knows how to pose perfectly and changes emotions and Niki does the best hair and make-up and she is not afraid to change the whole styling as well. A great day, amazing people and atmosphere. I love shooting and days like this one and I believe that one can see it on the photos.”
