We have a huge crush on gorgeous new face Isabelle Raspberry of Meka Model Management. And had quick chat with the freckled beauty about friends, role models and superpower. Photographed by Shameka “Meka” Wilson. Isabelle is wearing a gray turtleneck, heels and sweater by Dillard’s and jeans by American eagle.
What do you like most about yourself?
Being able to laugh at myself when I make a mistake… There are moments to be serious, but it is always nice to not be so uptight about every little aspect of my life.
What made you fall in love with modeling?
Modeling is so freeing. I don’t have to wear makeup to be beautiful. All my life I have hated my freckles, and through modeling, I have learned to embrace them.

Who are your role models—in the business and in life?
In the business, it would have to be Tyra Banks. She is a self-made woman with passion and ambition. Not only did she make a name for herself in the modeling world, she is a very successful business woman, as well. In life, it would definitely be my mom. She sets goals and sees them through to the end, always wanting to better herself and our family. She is a rock in our family and I admire her for all she does for us.
How important are friends for you?
Friends are as important to me as the air I breathe! My circle of friends is very small, but we have deep connections. It is crucial to have someone to go to and vent and know that it stays between us.

What are the “little things” that make you happy?
I love long naps, grape slushes from Sonic, loud music with the windows down, a good sweat during a workout, and putting a smile on someone’s face.
If you could have a superpower what would you want?
My superpower would definitely be to read minds. To get inside of someone’s head and know what they are thinking wouldn’t necessarily be fun, but it could certainly be beneficial.
What do you expect from life?
I expect to dig in and work hard toward my goals of becoming a dentist. Along the way, I know I will be taught many life lessons that I can hopefully use to make it better in the long run. I look forward to seeing what the future holds for me!
