Yasmin Suteja and Kale Neville of Culture Machine have been working with Abrand Jeans since their very first campaign. The brand has taken them on trips to Bali, Sydney and now Flores to shoot lifestyle images that embody the essence of the brand – a wanderlust for pure shores.
“This story was shot for Abrand Jeans in Flores, Indonesia – a beautiful island just off Bali. Our team flew from Denpasar airport to Labuan Bajo, and boarded the Aboya boat. We spent 4 days living on the boat and shooting these images! We lived on deck with our beautiful local crew, who cooked for us, educated us on the surroundings, and sank a few a beers with us! Our chef Unis managed to whip up the most delicious meals every day. We spent each day swimming, snorkelling, tanning, playing cards and reading books.
We jumped off the boat and into the crystal blue water. And washed the salt out of hair with the hose on deck. We went to sleep by moonlight, after chatting for hours on bean bags under the mast. The boat was fitted with 2 ladders that went all the way to the top of the mast. Kale and Hannah were the only two brave enough to jump from the top.”
