A multi-talented producer, Autolaser came onto the scene in 2012. Since making a name for himself, the Norwegian has produced and collaborated with a number of artists such as Bone Thugs ‘N’ Harmony, Yelawolf, and Far East Movement. With his recently released cover of Heartbeats, by The Knife, Autolaser spoke briefly, below, about creating the music video
“The shots of me skating at Manhattan Beach was something I had on my hard drive. When the Heartbeats cover got signed I knew immediately that these shots were meant to be for that video, which also serves as a nod to The Knife.
The rest was shot in Norway in my livingroom with Ester Adele and my fellow camera guy Ruben Maclean. For me it was important that the video had a vibe that could resonate with the song and my life in general. The original means a lot to me, and I feel that I’ve done my best to show respect to The Knife and showcase my own spin on things…”
