Toronto has a new pop sweetheart.

A Canadian native, songwriter Susie Yankou has been in sessions with everyone from Daya to Joel Little. She grew up in Toronto’s East End district where she found love for fellow Canadian popster Avril Lavigne. She quickly picked up a few instruments and started writing songs. Upon completing high school, she made the move to Southern California for university and found an obsession for pop music. Today C-Heads brings you an exclusive listen of her Atlantic/Taste & Tone endorsed debut single, “3AM.” In the same vein as an artist like Charli XCX or Lorde, “3AM” is a majestic pop anthem for the one who keeps you in love limbo.

“3AM is about being with someone who you know you’ll never fully have, but they give you just enough hope that you keep trying.”

“3AM is about being with someone who you know you’ll never fully have, but they give you just enough hope that you keep trying. You roll your eyes when they hit you up every Friday night, but you know you’ll probably have a fucking magical time, until it’s over and they ignore you for another 6 days.”
