Matteo Debole is 18 years old, from Los Angeles, currently studying at Oberlin College. He’s working on a new EP, a music video, and his self-deprecation complex and ego.
“The EP was recorded in my garage this past January with my friends Zach CapittiFenton, and Desi Scaglione, who mixed and mastered the entire thing. It was the culmination of a few years of musical dissatisfaction finally reaching the point where the only way to get over it was to get over myself and just release something. Some of the songs, like Truther, were written over 2 years ago, whereas I only finished writing the closing track a couple hours before the last recording session. The budget was 0 dollars, and more than anything, the project was about pushing myself away from what I felt my music needed to sound like, and simply allowing myself to make music freely, the way I wanted to.”
