We go far away to find ourselves,
and always return home
when we get lost.
“I’d like to share with you my latest photo series about a trip to Sátoraljaújhely, a wonderful city in Hungary.” says photographer Boncz László Áron while showing us a series where he explores the sensitive bonds of ourselves, our families and of time and space. Boncz travelled to Sátoraljaújhely, the home of quaint model Nagy Eszter Bíborkaa and a town located in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county in northern Hungary near the Slovak border. It is 82 kilometres (51 miles) east from the county capital Miskolc. “We grow up in places that later we often leave. However, a bit of us stays at home and even takes over when we return for a visit. I find photographing familiar places the most challenging, therefore I was excited to capture someone else’s home. We spent four wonderful days in this jewelry box. I’m curious how you’d see my home.”
