Enjoy a moment with gorgeous Magdalena of Brigitte Models photographed by Verena Vötter.
Magdalena, Do you consider yourself an introvert or an extrovert?
Hm, I think both. When I first meet new people I am a bit quiet and shy. But after a while I am a different person. When I feel comfortable around people I talk with everyone, my voice gets louder and I talk way too much. So I would say I am more an extrovert person most of the time.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a very small village in lower Bavaria, Germany. In a big house with my two elder brothers. I had a perfect childhood with no worries.
The most wonderful place?
I already traveled a lot in my life, but I think the most wonderful place for me is still the house where I grew up. It´s a very traditional old house with lots of wood. It’s the most safe and comfortable place in the world with so many memories.
What fascinates you about modeling?
I just started with modeling, so I am very excited what’s going to happen and how everything works. But it fascinates me to change roles and to act (as a kid I always wanted to be an actor) in front of a camera. Of course I love fashion and I hope to meet new interesting people. It’s also a very creative job and I can not imagine that it gets boring.
How many selfies do you take in a week?
It depends … but I think I take about 5 selfies in a week. When I was 14 I took thousands – the older I get, the less selfies I take.
“I already traveled a lot in my life, but I think the most wonderful place for me is still the house where I grew up.”
Tattoos?
No, I don’t have tattoos (yet). I am not sure if I ever want to get one. I like that my skin is clear and untouched. And in addition to that, I have no idea what kind of tattoo I would want and where. But who knows, maybe my opinion changes in the next years.
What defines who you are?
A lot of people tell me that I always look very happy and positive. That’s true, I always try to stay positive, no matter what. But the ones who know me better know that I am also very spirited and sensitive when it comes to discussions and differences of opinion.
Who is that one person you can talk to about just anything?
My best friend Natalina. I talk to her about everything! We live in the same village and know each other for about 20 years now. We are in contact 24/7 and send each other a thousand voice messages per day when we’re not together.
What’s hard about life?
For me it’s hard to just go with the flow. I am more likely to plan and control everything. I have to remind myself all the time that everything will turn out right and I don’t have to force things. Sometimes I wish I had more easiness.
Have you ever lost someone close to you?
Yes, I’ve lost my grandmothers a few years ago. Both of them were very strong women who achieved a lot in their lives. They are such big role models for me. It was very hard to let them go – for my whole family. I wonder what they would tell me today when I would ask them what the most important things are in life. I feel like I didn’t have enough time with them.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
To be honest, I haven’t thought about that too much. I try to live in the moment and not to spend to much time on thinking what could be tomorrow. But I hope that I will find true love in the next 10 years and that I am happy and content with who I am, where I’m at and that I am passionate about what I am doing.
