Have you ever dreamed of a world where your heart was free,
A world where judgement wasn’t the intial reflex,
Where thoughts of appreciation weren’t laced with critic,
Where we were who we were,
Complete with all our complexities,
A place where we were too intricate to define into a stereotype,
Where uniqueness was welcomed,
Not something that need to be cured, to create an easily navigable system,
Where you didn’t have to categorize someone to enjoy their company,
Where siblings didn’t rival,
For they knew there was so much more out there, why compete and diminish each other,
Only to stand a top of a small hill built with bodies of friends,
Instead of together climbing the mountains that lay waiting for us,
Where the human soul’s worth wasn’t in digits,
But in deeds and thoughts,
The past is the past,
But the future is what we make of it.
