“Nature diminished drastically in İstanbul in recent decades. There are only a few elves left in the city. This story is about an elf re-connecting with its own nature. We had to climb over the mountains to reach that location. At some point we were walking through a spiral mountain route with heavy equipment and a path that was as narrow as 15 cm. Yet we felt a lot safer than walking the streets of İstanbul.”
When Turkish photographer Ahmet Semih Orhan tells us this story he smiles. His pictures are varied and mostly tell stories. Stories as diverse as the people he portrays.
