Sometimes as an artist you have to take a leap.
That’s what Midoca is doing here. The LA-based producer has been putting out music for some time now, but on his most recent single, “Dry the Rose” he’s pushing the needle. With a heavy emphasis on the vocal performance and simplicity in arrangement, the production allows the track to shine as perhaps his most radio-ready effort yet. He tells C-Heads it’s his biggest sounding work yet, and it appears he’s right. Stream it below:

“I had to grow in order to finish this music and make it truly feel like the next evolution of myself; emotionally, personally and musically.”
“‘Dry The Rose’ has been a song I had been working on for almost a year, but never felt like I had accurately captured what I was trying to express with it. After a lot of experience with performing my live show, I decided that I wanted my music to have a much larger sound than I’d previously released. In quite a few ways, “Dry The Rose” had been about letting go of the past, personal growth, and allowing yourself to become yourself.
Lyrically, the song had started about losing a love and preserving the memory of it, but now that the song is completed I understand that I also cut losses with a certain idea I had of my music that I had been initially chasing and I had to grow in order to finish this music and make it truly feel like the next evolution of myself; emotionally, personally and musically.”
