I’m hoping that we’ll get another truckload of sunshine in the coming days because this new tune from Monoh (aka Roger Odermatt) is begging for some of that golden autumn energy. I’m personally looking forward to the moment when I can step outside, close my eyes and enjoy it while soaking up my daily dose of vitamin D. With Attitude is an upbeat electronica ditty that was written and arranged around a sitar improvisation and set to a heavy, purring bass synth and a relentless type of propulsive rim-shotted beat. The sitar was played by Monoh, who studied the instrument with one of Ravi Shankar’s direct disciples.
The video which we are officially premiering here today draws on the inherent psychedelic and spiritual dimension of the song. Directed and animated by Jan Sommer, the short is a 3D animated foray into the world of visions.
Monoh’s self titled debut EP will be released October 11th via Quiet Love Records.
