Sometimes you just need a reset button.
Nashville-based pop group Nightly will tell you that. After breaking out with their hit single “XO” in 2016, the band signed a major deal. However, it wouldn’t be their permanent home. As things ended up not working out, the band soldiered on independently, touring and releasing music themselves. Their hard work caught the attention of BMG, who signed Nightly just in time for the release of a new version of their most recent single “the movies” featuring the touch of singer-songwriter Charli Adams. It’s a new side of an old story. It’s cinematic. And it’s out today.

“we wanted this to be a soundtrack for people. something you can put on that instantly takes you to another place.”
“’the movies’ is just a vibe for 3 straight minutes. we wanted this to be a soundtrack for people. something you can put on that instantly takes you to another place, even from the first note. every element of the song encapsulates the same feeling, which is something we’re super into.”
