Tin Tin is a music video for Brisbane artist Lucinda R directed, filmed and edited by Danny McShane. The clip was shot on an iphone and is an intimate portrait of longing and vulnerability.
Lucinda: “This clip was inspired by loneliness and the way we share it with each other through social media. Our intention was to share loneliness and vulnerability in a beautiful way. I believe if you can enjoy a beautiful moment alone, like a sunset, or the morning light creeping into your house, when it starts raining on the train – if you can feel the wonder in these moments alone it changes what you look for in a connection. And makes you appreciate it more when you do find a kindred spirit.
My collaboration with Danny is what gave me the courage to share so much, because we have so much trust between us through our friendship and all the work we’ve created throughout the years. I knew he would add a perspective and beauty that no one else could.
This song is one of a few tracks I picked to record recently, all with a common thread of loneliness running through them. Feeling loneliness before Covid, feeling it more during it… revealing our vulnerabilities.
Over the last year I’ve tried to share more of my self. I’ve learnt to love and to make more of my time alone. Covid is teaching us to love too, and to appreciate things a bit more. Some things need a bit of missing and longing to truly grasp how beautiful they are.”
