With our series “An artist´s life.” we want to share the stories of the people behind the art.
“An artist´s life.”

“Art is this magical way of how I see the world.”
What is art? For me it is being fully myself. Art is my love for nature, for paper, for drawings. Connecting with my inner child and everything that used to amuse me in the world and was forgotten during the teenage stormy years. Now I am thankful for being able to practice yoga with candles and scents. Having flowers on my desk. Using a beautiful salt lamp during the afternoons and receiving a “painting” of the insects that shine in the dark night, just like a spontaneous gift. It is an old memory from my farm where we used to catch them in jars when it was dark. It was so much fun and magical. Also collecting feathers from the parakeet, “cotorras”. All these memories would have been kept hidden in a secret place if it hadn’t been for painting and drawing.

I have started painting two years ago after living in Paris for some time. It was a beautiful time, a dream come true for every artist or young person full of dreams such as myself. There I visited museums to hide from the cold winter during which the city had recieved me. But everything was just fine. Such wonderful views and secretive libraries full of stories yet untold. All the people I met. It led me to find my true passion. For now anyway. I’ve always been changing and evolving my interests and creativity according to my beliefs of the time. I used to do fashion, then photography caught my attention, now it’s art. But I realise it’s all about expressing myself. This magical way of how I see the world. My mother was a dancer and my father is an architect, so I grew up with these “I can do anything I want” idea of life. Sometimes it’s been good, sometimes not so much. But I always stay true to myself. Now my love for books and poetry has led me to write this article.
