Los Angeles based singer- songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Mike Edge drops his laid-back and smooth new single “Me And You”.
And it comes along with a wonderful video which is meant to feel like a sleepy micro dose during an Indian summer. It brings you into the mountainous, uncrowded suburbs of Los Angeles where the two girl heroes struggle with the loneliness of the past year until finally reuniting. “I wanted this video to feel nostalgic. A nod to a 90s LA, with a tongue in cheek Sad Girl touch. Ive always loved that feeling of being in your childhood suburban neighborhood, with background noise of lawnmowers and the humming of bees.” director Brook Power explains. “That state of mind that we held as kids is important to preserve and I tried to visually create that feeling here. The relationship in the video was obviously essentially important given a song titled ‘Me and You’, and I wanted the relationship to be relatable but also nondescript, lovers or friends or sisters, it doesn’t really matter. Just two humans dealing with being without connection.” Co starring by Mia Power.
