“… you can always dance through your struggles, especially if you’re surrounded by friends.”
Without a doubt we can say that music has been our lifesaver during those times and as spring is arriving all over the place we can feel the awakening rhythm of nature catch on with us. Talking about rhythm: We surely can’t sit still when listening to Swedish dance-pop producer Discrete latest single “Drown in Me.”
The track pulls together artists from across the globe—Canadian pop hitmaker Kiesza, Icelandic singer, songwriter Ouse, and Colombian artist, actor Dylan Fuentes and they sing about the fragility of romance, telling their tumultuous stories and can also be seen “as a reminder that when life gets messy, you can always dance through your struggles, especially if you’re surrounded by friends.”
“This record wouldn’t have turned out the way it did if it wasn’t for the lockdowns across the world,” Discrete says. “I’ve never met Ouse, Dylan, or Kiesza in person. They all contributed to the song remotely from their part of the world, and I think that uniqueness gives the song a special global feel. Although lockdowns put a stop to many things in our lives, they’ve also proven that passion for music will never die.”
