“We are Miriam Serrano and Trinidad Vargas. We are two photographers based in Barcelona who decided to experience photography together. Miriam is a very creative mind with an artistic background. She is inspired by cinema, light and observing the world. Trinidad, defines herself as an artist coming from the feminine energy that represents her. She takes inspiration from the women around her and her past as a dancer.
Since we met we felt like family. And the HERMANAS PROJECT reflects our relationship and intimacy between us.
We decided to do these photographs, as a way to understand and see the vision we have of each other. One of the bases of this project is to represent the woman’s body in the purest way, showing two natural bodies and representing the difference between them.
Understanding that there are different forms, equally valuable and beautiful. Leaving behind any kind of complex imposed by society on the female body.”
