The work of 24-year-old solo artist and songwriter Lewis Loh alais lewloh is most time extremely personal and deals with themes of love, trauma, abandonment, healing, and hope. In his beautiful new single “‘cold these days’ he is connecting the personal thread of a heartbreak to the larger message.
lewloh tells: “‘cold these days’ was written on a cold rainy night in October – I was accompanied by an overwhelming wave of loneliness, and was compelled to lay it all out in song. I remember tracking this in a small studio next to a cemetery in Nashville with two friends – my producers Baerd (Isaiah Beard) and Joshua Evan Lee. We were cooped up in west Tennessee for a week, and this was one of the songs that ripened into full fruition.”
This is the second of three singles leading up to lewloh’s sophomore album michigan/missinghim due in Fall 2021.
