UK born singer songwriter Rheo Uno heralds the arrival of a bunch of releases over the coming months, with another new single and video ‘Señorita’.
Her last two singles ‘Show Me’ and ‘Wife Me’ (feat rapper Chxmpion) were supported by BBC Music Introducing East Midlands and BBC Radio Leicester. And also in her new release the young artist convinces with her powerful voice. Inspired by the romance of Latin Music, the sounds rush to a snappy polished pop-song.
Rheo explains: “I wanted to channel as much sexual tension as I could into a song; you know in the films when they’re in a club, dancing, sweaty and ridiculously sensual? I wanted Senorita to be the soundtrack for something like that. To me, as soon as you hear a Latino beat, it puts you in that sultry, sensuous mood; so thats how we ended up with that vibe, and hey, Tequila is my fave shot so it was a no brainier to drop in the mix”.
She continues: “I started relatively late to song writing at about 17, I just didn’t think I could do it, it was something other people could do, not me. So what I put out was heavily influenced by the people I was working with, and consequently I didn’t relate to it and therefore why should anyone else? But now, working with Charles (Drew) from Monarchy Music, we have just clicked creatively, and the material is coming thick and fast. I’m loving what I’m producing, it feels connected to me, my thoughts, friendships, relationships and I’m proud of how it sounds. I’m listening to myself on repeat, which is an absolute first for me.”
