The tracks of the Swedish musician and producer Sebastian Fronda aka Slumberville are balm for the soul. His releases like “When We’re Dancing”, “Lucid Dreams” or “Jazzus” are the perfect tunes to “calm down” and to leave one’s cares behind.
Together with Melbourne singer-songwriter Woodes he now releases his new work “Forever Young” where he also follows his motto “Simplicity is key. Always”. Elle Graham´s vocals and the hypnotizing sound soak in our ears – soothing and catchy. Accompanied by a rad video Forever Young makes us drift away and exalt our imagination.
Slumberville tells: “Forever Young is like a lo fi hip-hop-pop hybrid. The creative approach was trying to blend Woodes lovely vocals in a rough, bass and drum heavy environment. Sort of like when plants grow through concrete. Arrangement and production wise I aimed at an early Ennio Morricone, or even Bernard Herrmann feel, with the strings and whistle approach – in a minimalistic, polished boom bap, Slumberville environment It was lovely working with Elle. We both worked very fast and flipped ideas quickly. Love her timbre and voice feeling.”
Woodes adds: “This song is about adventures & escaping into the wilderness. I’ve missed going on adventures and travelling. It’s also about remembering that we still have time. It was great to create it with Seb. I love his music & this came together so quickly between us.”
