Once again, BETWEEN FRIENDS are back.

After 2021 saw the release of their first full-length mixtape in i like when you shine! and the continued meteoric rise of their 2018 single “affection” from cult favorite to bona fide streaming hit, today is a big day for Brandon and Savannah Hudson. Not only are they performing at the esteemed Governor’s Ball Music Festival in New York, but they’ve got a brand new collection of songs to go along with it. CUTiE, out on on the red hot 10K Projects, is the latest installment of the Hudson siblings’ signature sultry pop sound. From the crunchy, almost deranged pop musings of “orange juice” to the breezy nu-RnB offerings of “try”, CUTiE is classic BETWEEN FRIENDS, stocky and moody, yet floating with an enlightened sense of pop appeal. Tracks like “more” and “laurel” showcase this dichotomy well; flaunting both hook and vibe, nostalgia and futurism. While leaning forward, the duo also reach back, with correlating visuals for each track, dubbed “CUTiE TV” and inspired by vintage MTV. Each offering drips with persona, consummating in a fashion BETWEEN FRIENDS themselves say is akin to 90s Nickelodeon. So if you’re looking to start your summer off with some immaculate vibes, then look no further than this new era of BETWEEN FRIENDS.

“CUTiE is something we’ve held very close to our hearts for a couple of years. It’s an extended personality that we’ve never fully embraced until now. Each song represents a different character in a different situation. We hope people attach to these songs and live with them like we have.”
